Santo Domingo Danilo Medina said the victory obtained by the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) in the congressional and municipal elections should not surprise anyone, because it is the result the maturity of the leadership of that organization.
"This is the result of the maturity of the leadership of the LDP, headed by President Leonel Fernández.
The LDP has been able to subordinate individual interests and group interests of the country and the party, which has earned the trust of the people that today we are rewarded with their votes, "he said.
Medina spoke when he went to vote at the polling 175 of the Colegio Maria Auxiliadora, in the San Juan Bosco in the capital.
